Flow's Hidden Gems (6.15 - 6.21) - A Prompt Review
Hello, Users! Welcome back to another instalment of Flow's Hidden Gems!
Unfortunately, your host is still me, Kunari, so you'll have to continue dealing with my ✨unbridled optimism✨!
Our first prompt today is 'Whispers of Ishtar [Part 1]', written by Muthu!
The intriguing title and avatar was what drew me to this one, but the mystery of Ishtar itself was what made me stay!
Wanting to learn more about the kingdom, I decided to play the part of an amnesiac - although in all honesty, I don't think I gained any extra information for it. Either way, one of this prompt's strengths lies in its storytelling and writing style; and if you find yourself liking this prompt, there's another 2 parts to the series on Muthu's profile!
Next up is 'Minerva', written by Meo!
I'm not sure about you, but I love characters that are either tsundere or kuudere. Their personalities make for a uniquely engaging challenge to overcome when trying to worm your way into their hearts, and I'd say Minerva fully captures the essence of that fun, along with providing a dystopian setting full of potential for government conspiracy plots!
Not only that, but the prompt manages to retain a natural writing style despite being written for ChatGPT! I'd recommend giving this prompt a try just for that!
Our third prompt for today is 'Luvria Greenharte', written by Pikachu!
Putting a fantasy spin on an apocalyptic scenario is a fun and unique idea, and the prompt starts off great with a detailed, explanation of the events leading up to Luvria and the user meeting! Although my personal preference would've been to leave the story up to the user to figure out, having the events lined out from the beginning can really help with deciding where to take the plot!
Up next is 'Yohan Lohr', written by Utena Tenjou!
I've always found drama-centred roleplay prompts to be the most fun, and with a dash of pining, what's not to love?
In this prompt, you play as a music producer who somehow found themselves at a basketball match during halftime! How? I have no idea! But after making up some vague lore about my character picking up a sibling who's playing for the other team, I managed to strike up a conversation with Yohan. While sporty characters aren't really my thing, he's still pretty fun to talk to, and I'm sure that those of you who dolike a sports-related side plot can find more to enjoy about this prompt than I did!
The next prompt up for review is The Happy Santa's 'Audio Fantasy Stories'!
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, TTS is still bugged (we're working on a fix for it). But hopefully, when the systems are working again, you'll be able to use this prompt as intended!
As for the story-writing part, however, this prompt definitely exceeded my expectations! It's hard to describe, but the stories generated give an almost fairytale-like atmosphere, both in the way they're told and in the plot. Although they're short and often cut off by ChatGPT's signature 'CAN YOU GUESS WHAT'LL HAPPEN NEXT?!'-style conclusions, I can still easily imagine myself adding onto the story and maybe even using it as a folk tale in-universe for some of my fantasy roleplays!
Last but absolutely not least, we have 'Otome Quest: The Villainess's Redemption', written by klee!
In this prompt, you're transported to an Otome game (a dating sim usually written for a female audience), as the trope goes, and placed into the shoes of the notorious villainess!
Of course, as an agent of chaos, I refuse to take such a slight from the universe lying down. Needless to say, I found much more fun in fixating my character on the lavish banquet and confusing everyone else in the room than following the plot obviously laid out for me.
Aaaand that's it for this week! Hopefully you found one or two prompts worth checking out for yourself today, and remember, if you'd like to submit some prompts that you think should be given a spotlight, you can fill out this form!
Thanks for reading, and remember to write your prompts with love and care!
